About Live Work Sleep

Hi there, and welcome to liveworksleep.

offers a calm corner and a clear explanation rather than hype

I’m Scott Hilliard, the creator of liveworksleep. For most of my life I didn’t think too much about sleep or wellbeing. I assumed feeling wired, mentally overloaded, and “always on” was just how modern life worked. I focused on performance and responsibility, and treated sleep as something to squeeze in rather than something to build a life around.

By my mid-40s, I was Managing Director of a large media agency with around 200 employees. On paper it looked impressive. In reality, the way I was living was starting to feel unsustainable. I knew how to manage clients, teams, and results, but I knew almost nothing about the foundations that make any of that possible: sleep, recovery, focus, and a calmer nervous system.

When I finally started learning properly about sleep and wellbeing how it actually works, what the research says, and which tools genuinely help everything began to shift. I started testing the same devices everyone sees online sleep trackers, calm-tech, environmental tools and slowly separated what was useful from what was noise.

liveworksleep exists because I wish I had understood these things much sooner. This site is for people who want trustworthy guidance without fear-based messaging, miracle claims, or endless overwhelm. A place where you can understand what affects your sleep and focus, choose tools more confidently, and build routines that feel sustainable in real life.

My Mission

Why “liveworksleep”?

Because these three areas shape almost everything else. When you understand how you live, how you work, and how you sleep and support them with small, realistic improvements everything else becomes a little easier. liveworksleep isn’t about chasing an ideal. It’s about building foundations that feel sustainable, one clear, practical step at a time.
